Leeds United has received a warning not to sign Cheikhou Kouyate due to concerns about the player’s possible impact on the team.

Although there have been rumours to the contrary, Leeds has not yet reached an agreement with Kouyate; however, the 34-year-old is really wanted, and other options are being explored. Leeds still has the option to sign the single midfielder at this time; he is now just that.

Daniel Farke’s choices are limited in the absence of Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev due to their individual knee ailments, and the team is looking into ways to provide more depth. Rothwell, Joe, and Ao Tanaka. As Kouyate left Nottingham Forest in the summer, he is a free agent and may sign with any team at any time. However, one former player has expressed doubts about the move.

In an interview with Football League World, Carlton Palmer expressed doubts about the 34-year-old’s ability to contribute appropriately at Leeds, should the Whites decide to sign him. He stated, “He’s still without a club, and it worries me when a player has been released from a football club in the summer and has not been picked up, it is a problem.”

“I don’t think Kouyate is going to come in at 34 years old and make a big effect at Leeds with what they are planning to accomplish for this season.” The time needed to get up to speed is a problem for Farke, who has previously claimed he is not a big admirer of signing free agents so deep into a season.
