Since moving from Corinthians to Nottingham Forest in August 2023, Murillo has played frequently for the team, making 47 appearances thus far.

The Reds presently have the second-best defensive record [10 goals conceded], after Liverpool [conceded six], and the centre-back has been a vital member of the team this season.

He was called up for the first time by Brazil for the November international break because to his impressive performances for Nottingham Forest. The 22-year-old, who is awaiting his national team debut, did not play in either of the two games as a substitute.

Nuno Espírito Santo, manager of Nottingham Forest, told ESPN in Brazil that he is happy with the defender’s first call-up. The Reds player will eventually be able to play regular minutes for his nation, according to the Portuguese.

“I’m thrilled because I knew that representing Brazil was something Murillo truly desired; it’s one of his career’s primary objectives, and he’s halfway there. But his improvement has been amazing because of the work he’s put in since being here,” he remarked.

“There is a great deal of talent. My suspicion stems from my deep affection for him—a star. Although there are still a lot of things he needs to work on, I have no doubt that the moment will come for him to play for the Brazilian national team. However, the talent is present.
The boss of the Premier League team believes Murillo has a bright future if he keeps up his current level of play.

“The relationship is really close. He is a footballer and a highly ambitious individual. He understands that it’s really challenging to do it alone, but with assistance, all of our abilities shine through,” Nuno Espírito Santo said.

“I believe that Nikola’s entrance has been quite beneficial because the two of them have complementary traits and their complicity matches well. When it comes to Murillo specifically, having too much talent might be harmful. You must strike a balance, and Murillo is doing so.

We reported on Spanish reports on November 13th that Barcelona and Real Madrid are considering the South American who is getting ready to make a significant move.

If Murillo keeps playing well for Nottingham Forest, these connections might grow.
