After Leeds United star Manor Solomon’s performance in Israel’s 1-0 Nations League victory against Belgium on Sunday, Daniel Farke might be faced with a selection issue.
Even though Solomon, a Tottenham loanee, played a more defensive position for his country on November 17, he helped it achieve a “amazing” victory over Domenico Tedesco’s squad.
The attacker’s performance was so impressive that he was named one of the team’s “diamonds” by the Israeli news site One News on November 17.
“Manor Solomon in a huge performance proved together with Oskar Gloch why they became the diamonds of the team,” they wrote.
At Leeds United, Daniel Farke must now make a decision.
The attacker hasn’t been able to regain his previous level of play since his injury comeback, and his performances over the past two weeks have been far from outstanding.
However, the Israel international might soon find himself back in Farke’s starting lineup more frequently as a result of his performance against Belgium.
According to Sofascore, Solomon had 55 ball touches and a 79 percent pass accuracy rate throughout his 90 minutes on the pitch.
In addition, he made four tackles, cleared the ball once, and was only dribbled past five times. Solomon made another strong showing in both land and air combat. He tried 19 ground duels, 11 of which were successful, and he didn’t finish any of the ones he tried in the air.
He was solid in terms of attack as well. The winger made two crucial passes during the match and finished all 100 dribbles he attempted.
This set of figures seems like sufficient justification for Farke to think about giving him another shot before deciding on his future.
